We were Introduced to this 3d Character Animation Module by Jo Bowman, she informed us of the type of things we would have to put across in the character we create and the fact that the aim is to convey a feeling across to the viewers so that it is really recognisable in the character.
So what I gather from the assignment and after watching the helpful video study on behaviour analysis from David Morris, is that the character could be anything, a Toy, a dustbin, a human, a tree etc, so long as it has a profile and life is brought to it with emotion, movement facial features, etc.
My intention with this module is to really work hard and achieve the best I possibly can with my skills. I feel positive about achieving something of a substantial nature, I will be blogging regularly to update my progress as well as having a sketch pad to jot down ideas and draw characters/emotions, etc.
My ideas at the moment consist of possibly displaying anger, happiness, sadness, love, fear and desperation, the characters I've thought if doing are possibly a snail, a slug, a toy of some sort or whatever else might come out of my head. Some sketching is to take place next to generate some ideas on paper.

Hi Alex
ReplyDeleteI think that you need to use a spline IK chain to move your model side to side.
